Incident:27-03

Dispatched for a commericial fire alarm activation on Lincoln Blvd.  Engine 142 under the direction of Chief 142 arrived on scene first and found nothing showing.  After checking the interior and exterior of the building, we found the sprinkler system did turn on at one point in a section of side 1.  Units cleared after it was determined it was a false alarm.

Incident:26-03

Dispatched for a brush fire at a residence on Finney Road endangering a garage.  While enroute to the station Chief 184 reported a small fire and then responded in the tanker.  Engine 183 assisted in extinguishing the fire.

Incident:25-03

Dispatched for a MVA with injuries involving a motorcycle.  When initial units arrived, they found there to be no injuries and Rescue 147 was cancelled.  Traffic control was setup until the bike got towed and then all units cleared.

Incident:24-03

Dispatched for a structure fire in our borough on Lovedale Road.  Dispatch stated possible entrapment, and then later confirmed there was entrapment on the top floor.  Initial units on scene arrived to heavy fire and smoke conditions and unfortunately were unable to get to the victim in time.  The fire started in the kitchen area and moved swiftly through the 2 story structure.  Please follow this link for more details including pictures http://www.pafirefighter.com/PaPics/McKeesport.asp

Dispatched for a smoke investigation in Liberty.  Command had us standby in station with our engine crew.  Call turned out to be false and we were released.

Incident:22-03

Tanker 184 responded under the direction of Chief 184 to assist on a shed and trash fire in Blaine Hill.

Incident:21-03


Dispatched for unknown type of fire in the woods along Finney Road.  184-C2 arrived on scene first to report the fire was being caused by down power lines.  The wires were arcing but nothing was really burning, mainly due to the area being saturated from the heavy rain we were receiving.  183-E responded to the scene, and then was returned to service once Tanker 184 and Ambulance 610 arrived.  After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes the power company arrived on scene and we cleared.

Incident:20-03


Dispatched for a 1 car MVA with 1 possible injury.  When we arrived on scene, we found a car on its roof in the yard of the residence.  Something caused the driver to hit the gas instead of the brakes and the car drove over an enbankment.  The 147 units were first on scene and established command, cribbing the car and stablizing it.  520 transported the driver for some minor injuries.  The passenger was unhurt.

Incident:19-03

Dispatched for a mutual aid assist for our tanker for Forward Twp for a large brush fire. Tanker 184 under the command of 184-C1 responded to assist with water. After approximately 1hr and 40min into incident, dispatched again for man power. Brush 184 responded under the direction of 184-Captain. When Brush 184 arrived on scene, we picked up a crew from 143 and drove back as far back into the woods as the truck could go. 184-L1 went with the crew from 143 further into the woods on foot under the direction of 143-C1. Our crew hit hotspots with indian tanks, shovels, and brooms until eventually meeting up with Chief 147 and his crew. At that point, manpower was split up into smaller groups and systematically sent through to finish off any hot spots. Brush 184 extended a 1" line approximately 550' to supply SUV-147 with more water.

Incident:17-03

Dispatched for a mutual aid assist at the Glassport dump for a brush fire. Tanker 184 responded under the direction of 184-C2 and Brush 184 responded under the direction of 184-C3. 184 Units assisted in fire suppression and then cleared and returned back in service.

Incident:16-03

Dispatched for a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bellbridge and Lincoln Blvd. Initial reports were no injuries, but upon arrival on scene there was one patient with minor injuries. Ambulance 610 transported the patient and Tanker 184 cleared the hazard and returned back in service.

Incident:15-03

Dispatched for a mutual aid assist in Liberty for a smoke detector activation in the basement with smell of smoke. An officer from 183 arrived on scene and confirmed working basement fire. Tanker 184 under the direction of 184-C1 arrived on scene and assisted 183.
